In this post-apocalyptic era, the world emerges from 50 years of death, famine, and chaos. Remnants of villages are growing into cities, and trades that were once lost are being relearned. Out west, the Range is still considered a wild and lawless territory. The Range was slow to civilize and controlled by the gun. Those who remained are beginning to establish their own law, The Code of the West.

Born in the new cities of the apocalyptic era, Erin learned to read, write, use tools, and understand both science and technology. Her father was an engineer, and her mother was an educator. Her parents provided Erin with the critical skills she would need when she left civilization to scavenge out on the Range.

When Erin was young, she scavenged with her father and discovered an advanced piece of technology invented prior to the wars, an apparatus in the shape of an Orb that would scan whole rooms and see beyond its superficial walls.

As Erin scavenges the Range looking for rare items to trade, her searching leads her to trust a wily gang of misfits that become family. Their scavenging would guide them to a treasure of more incredible wealth than they could ever imagine, leading to the next adventure—a mission to restore the last of humanity.
